"i have sent you an email with my complaint which you have not replied to The driver only called us at the pick up time to ask where we were so we had to walk out of the terminal to find him and he gave us the wrong directions. then his door was broken which took over 1/2 and hour to sort out . We only left the airport over 1/2 and hour after pick up time. The journey to Sussex - 25 miles was with a window WIDE OPEN as the seat belt had to keep the door closed and therefore the driver was not wearing it. Everything illegal. On arrival in Sussex the driver wanted payment at which point i lost all respect for your company. We had already paid in good faith via the on-line booking system. Disgusting service and yes i would like a response. "

"We'd passed updated times and terminal details to the support line when our flight was changed. These changes weren't passed on to the driver who only found out when he texted us. Driver was very good. Car was comfortable and clean."

"I arrived in the arrivals hall at Gatwick at 10.30am, 30 minutes before pickup time. I waited until 11.30 then rang the taxi office who said my driver would contact me and he did, but there seemed to be confusion as to the pickup point and he gave me his registration no and make of car and told me to go out of the terminal building and walk to the Premier Inn which was a few minutes walk away and flag his car down as he came along. I found out later that he had been trying to contact me on WhatsApp to give me these instructions, but I had no WiFi to receive it. If he had rung or texted me in the normal way, there would have been no problem. Fortunately I was not laden with heavy luggage, nor was I expected at my destination at a specific time. The journey itself was very quick, just the wait and greet not as specified."

I therefore expect a full refund."

"I tried twice to book my cab through your site, and both times I received an error message saying that there had been a timeout. I checked my emails and there was definitely NO confirmation – so I had to assume that no booking had been made, and I could not risk no taxi to take me to the airport in the morning. I then called Platinum cars on the number provided and explained fully what had happened, made the booking verbally and specifically asked them to check if there was a 2nd booking in my name, just in case it HAD gone through, without me knowing. The next day, a cab arrived at precisely the correct time, and I boarded (it was not from Platinum Cars although I did not know that at the time). Five minutes later, I got a call from a 2nd cab, (also not from Platinum Cars) that had arrived (late) at the same address, and I then proceeded to get a scolding from the driver for booking two cabs. I DID NOT BOOK TWO CABS! I then asked my driver if he knew what had happened, and he said HIS company had been called by another cab company asking if they could take the job. He did not know who that 2nd company was. WHAT A MESS! – and none of it my fault!! I also dont know where that norwegian contact number has come from.? Perhaps auto generated by my PC?"

"We were told to call when we landed and in the arrivals hall . This was at 00:40 and no reply, called again and got a reply. Was told hw would be there in 20 minutes. We had to meet outside the ramp in the North Terminal - we then waited outside in the cold with a baby and two small children . Called at 1:05am with no answer at 1.07 called again and asked where he was, he said will be there in 5 minutes at 1:16 called no answer He arrived at 1:20 - He apologised saying that the slip road was closed due to roadworks, but he should have known that earlier. We expecting a meet and greet because of the young children"

"The car was a very dated Peugeot partner (>135k on the clock), that was in very poor condition, the warning light was on permanently, and there was a high pitch whistling sound when gears were changed. This spoilt what was meant to be a really special Christmas treat. Also, your confirmation told me that the company I would be using was 'Platinum Cars', where in fact it was 'Crawley Taxis', but the driver gave me a card with 'City Taxis Gatwick'. I expect a refund of at least 50% of what was paid, as you are guilty of a serious case of misleading advertising and failing to deliver the advertised service, as defined by the Consumer Protection Act, and Supply of Services Act."

I was angry and asked to be taken home as was on my own in Crawley industrial estate with no money and a lone female who has booked a taxi through their website and they hung up. I waited in the rain whilst trying to reconnect with company and no one answered. I was then really upset and scared and finally 40mins later I received a call to say a taxi was being Sent. The driver was lovely, saw I had been crying and was soaking and asked if I was ok and drove me home. I am at a loss how this happened and the way i was initially treated. I am glad I finally got home safe as I was genuinely worried for my safety. Not a nice experience at all."

"I was told in my booking this was meet and greet at airport arrivals at 1.30. No-one there and at 1.35 I got a phone call from the driver saying I had to come to drop off point. I said that this was supposed to be meet and greet at arrivals but he was adamant that this was not so and he was at drop off point. Not being conversant with the airport it was 1.50 before I located him. We was going to a funeral and fortunately we made it on time. Do I get a refund as I did not get what I paid for. My booking definitely said £34 -this includes meet and greet?"

"We booked for return trips to and from Gatwick for the start and he end of a 2-week holiday to Cyprus. As we would be arriving back at 4am, we thought it would be a good idea to have a pre-booked taxi to get us home. By sheer good fortune, I was prompted to contact the taxi while we were waiting for our return flight and I was left with the firm impression that we had been completely forgotten about. After a bit of a faff, we did get a text from the taxi firm with the contact details for the driver before we had departed from Cyprus. Once we had landed at Gatwick and got to the meeting point, we were kept waiting for a little bit - not a huge amount of time but long enough for me to feel that we would've got home quicker if I had just gone to the taxi firm at Gatwick arrivals. So, my bottom line is that both drivers were absolutely fine, and I have no complaint about the taxis which were clean and comfortable. I wasn't happy about the return trip and I would think twice before booking one in the future."

I waited until 11.30 then rang the taxi office who said my driver would contact me and he did, but there seemed to be confusion as to the pickup point and he gave me his registration no and make of car and told me to go out of the terminal building and walk to the Premier Inn which was a few minutes walk away and flag his car down as he came along. I found out later that he had been trying to contact me on WhatsApp to give me these instructions, but I had no WiFi to receive it. If he had rung or texted me in the normal way, there would have been no problem. Fortunately I was not laden with heavy luggage, nor was I expected at my destination at a specific time. The journey itself was very quick, just the wait and greet not as specified."

"I tried twice to book my cab through your site, and both times I received an error message saying that there had been a timeout. I checked my emails and there was definitely NO confirmation – so I had to assume that no booking had been made, and I could not risk no taxi to take me to the airport in the morning. I then called Platinum cars on the number provided and explained fully what had happened, made the booking verbally and specifically asked them to check if there was a 2nd booking in my name, just in case it HAD gone through, without me knowing. This spoilt what was meant to be a really special Christmas treat. Also, your confirmation told me that the company I would be using was 'Platinum Cars', where in fact it was 'Crawley Taxis', but the driver gave me a card with 'City Taxis Gatwick'. I expect a refund of at least 50% of what was paid, as you are guilty of a serious case of misleading advertising and failing to deliver the advertised service, as defined by the Consumer Protection Act, and Supply of Services Act."

As we would be arriving back at 4am, we thought it would be a good idea to have a pre-booked taxi to get us home. By sheer good fortune, I was prompted to contact the taxi while we were waiting for our return flight and I was left with the firm impression that we had been completely forgotten about. After a bit of a faff, we did get a text from the taxi firm with the contact details for the driver before we had departed from Cyprus. Once we had landed at Gatwick and got to the meeting point, we were kept waiting for a little bit - not a huge amount of time but long enough for me to feel that we would've got home quicker if I had just gone to the taxi firm at Gatwick arrivals. So, my bottom line is that both drivers were absolutely fine, and I have no complaint about the taxis which were clean and comfortable. I wasn't happy about the return trip and I would think twice before booking one in the future."
